A new report by Safeguard Defenders has “uncovered a merciless, intentional and relentless campaign [by the Chinese government] to find [Uyghurs] wherever they are” and forcibly return them to China.

Such involuntary returns are key to China’s transnational repression, which has also affected the World Uyghur Congress (WUC). For years, the Chinese authorities have attempted to block the activism of WUC President, Dolkun Isa, through the issuing of a Red Notice against him.
