Taipei, July 16 (CNA) The daughter of Rebiya Kadeer, president of the World Uyghur Congress, will visit Taiwan July 18-20, a local group said on its website Friday.

Gueh Tsiam Hue — a group formerly known as Fight Club and founded by Freddy Lim, lead singer of Taiwan’s death metal rock band Chthonic — said that July is the first anniversary of a Uighur uprising in China. A documentary on Kadeer, “The 10 Conditions of Love,” will also be formally debuted this month.

“This is why Freddy, president of Gueh Tsiam Hue, has gone out of the way to invite Kadeer’s daughter Reala to Taiwan,” said Gueh Tsiam Hue, whose members are mostly in the music, film, entertainment and Internet industries.

Reala is scheduled to hold a news conference in Taipei July 18 and attend seminars in Taipei and Kaohsiung on July 19 and July 20. During her stay, she will also meet local organizations that are concerned about human rights.

The showing of the controversial documentary in Kaohsiung last year triggered strong opposition from Beijing, which has branded Kadeer a terrorist.
