World Uyghur Congress, 2 February 2018
The World Uyghur Congress has released its newsletter covering the month of January concerning our activities as well as the most prevalent issues concerning the Uyghur community in East Turkestan and elsewhere.
The newsletter looks at a number of developing stories coming out of the region and updates on the activities of the World Uyghur Congress, including the detention of 120,000 Uyghurs in ‘re-education’ camps around the city of Kaskgar, the WUC expressing its deep sadness over the passing of Muhammad Salih Hajim, European Parliamentarians issuing a press statement urging Bulgaria not to deport Uyghur asylum seekers to China and more.
