Spokesperson

Mr. Dilshat Reshit was born in 1967.  He immigrated abroad in 1990 and settled in Sweden.  He joined the Uyghur National Movement as a vice-president and spokesman for the East Turkestan Information Centre, founded in Germany in 1999.  He has been the World Uyghur Youth Congress, the East Turkestan (Uyghuristan) National Congress and the World Uyghur Congress, the Foreign Affairs Committee, the Standing Committee and the Executive Committee, and a spokesperson for these organisations.  He was re-elected as a spokesperson for World Uyghur Congress at the Sixth Election.

Mr. Dilshat Reshit is the only spokesperson for the Uyghur National Movement, which is also recognized by the Uyghur people, the international community, and the Chinese government.
